Frequently Asked Questions

What if a NEWHVN provider does not meet expected quality results?

Most poor outcomes are the result of poor processes, not individuals. We continuously strive to improve our processes to meet our quality goals. NEWHVN’s Quality Committee and Medical Director work with providers who do not meet the expectations in order to improve their outcomes.  If a provider fails to improve and cannot meet our high quality standards, the provider will be removed from NEWHVN’s provider network.

How does NEWHVN differ from the existing health care networks?

  • NEWHVN providers have a strong history of working together to improve quality. All NEWHVN providers are required to participate in our clinical quality measures, report health care outcomes and evaluate the delivery of care.
  • NEWHVN’s Quality Committee and Medical Director are responsible for ensuring performance benchmarks and clinical efficiency requirements are met.

What third party administrators (TPAs) are available to an employer?

NEWHVN works closely with local third party administrators to ensure our panel of providers is available to any employer who wishes to utilize NEWHVN’s network. The employer may select any third party administrator to oversee the benefit plan and comply with the terms of the agreement executed by NEWHVN and the employer/payor.
